UFC 248 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fourth episode for this weekend’s big show in Sin City, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off at the UFC Performance Institute with Weili Zhang. She talks about doing pad work and landing an elbow on her coach, busting his eyebrow open. They kept going though. She misses China. Israel Adesanya is at UFC Apex, trying to shake off all the bad energy from his media obligations.
Over at New York New York, Joanna Jedrzejczyk is working out. She was the champ for 966 days. Cortney Casey is there working out with her. Joanna talks to the camera while doing some grappling. Back to Weili, who almost falls out of the van to go into the open workouts. She says she has gameplanned for everything Joanna has for her. It’s “amazing!”.
Next up is Joanna. She says that the girls saying they’re going to knock her out is motivating her. She’s going to make Weili quit. Yoel Romero laughs with the crowd, then gets down to working out for a bit. He’d be the oldest first-time champ if he wins the belt Saturday.
Irsrael Adesanya shows up. It’s his first spot as a PPV headliner in America. He wants to be an active champ. He gets some fans up to throw kicks while he holds pads. He gives some advice. He then gives the kickers some tickets, which is a great thing to do. Adesanya then gets a trophy for fight of the year in 2019 with Kelvin Gastelum. He gives Gastelum a shout out.
And that’s it! UFC 248 goes down Saturday night in Vegas.
