It’s fight day! UFC 245 is set to take off tonight from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Three promotional titles will sway in the balance, and Bloody Elbow is on deck with the betting lines.
The event’s featured matchup will involve a welterweight title bout, when the current king, Kamaru Usman, faces MMA’s biggest heal, Colby Covington. There hasn’t been much movement for this matchup since Bloody Elbow’s midweek betting odds post. Usman owns a favored moneyline of -175, with the challenger possessing an underdog value of +165.
The over/under for this 170-pound championship tilt has been set at 4.5 rounds. Bettors can lay the price on the ‘Over’ at a cost of -230, or take the price on the ‘Under’ at +200. The bookies believe that this one is going the distance. Big shocker there since 14 of their combined 20 UFC wins have reached the scorecards. The prop bet ‘Fight goes to decision’ come with a strongly favored price tag of -225, with ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ trending at an underdog line of +175.
For the gamblers that agree with that sentiment, ‘Usman wins by decision’ is on the table at a slight dog tag of +110, with ‘Not Usman by decision’ camping around -140. Going back the other way, ‘Covington wins by decision’ can be acquired at a much heftier underdog moneyline of +280, with ‘Not Covington by decision’ moderately favored at -370.
Let’s shift gears to the UFC 245 co-main event, where the defending featherweight champ, Max Holloway, will meet the 21-1 challenger, Alexander Volkanovski. For those believing that the ‘Blessed’ era will continue on, Holloway’s straight up moneyline sits around -175. For the bettors feeling like a new reign at 145-pounds is looming, Volkanovski can be scooped up at an underdog tick of +165.
The over/under for this featherweight title match has also been set at 4.5 rounds. The ‘Over’ proposition is available at a strongly favored moneyline of -215. The ‘Under’ is trekking as an underdog option around +185. The bet-setters also foresee this one taking all 25-minutes to determine a victor. This makes sense considering the toughness of Max is second to none, and it’s extremely rare to see Alex in hot water. The exotic bet ‘Fight goes to decision’ will cost around -215 to pick up, with a +170 return on ‘‘Fight doesn’t go to decision.’
If it’s the scorecards that you’re predicting, then ‘Holloway wins by decision’ involves a small underdog value of +122, with ‘Not Holloway by decision’ favored at -152. On the other side of the coin, ‘Volkanovski wins by decision’ owns a much more substantial dog line of +324, with ‘Not Volkanovski by decision’ heavily favored at -432.
The final championship belt up for grabs at UFC 145 will be in the women’s bantamweight division. The undisputed G.O.A.T Amanda Nunes is projected to retain her title, ponying up with a minus line of 310. Her counterpart, Germaine de Randamie, is the heaviest betting underdog amongst title contenders. She can found with a plus line of 280.
The over/under for this one has been set at 2.5 rounds. The ‘Under’ proposition has been declared the favored line, resting around the -117 mark. The ‘Over’ has been labeled as an underdog option, offered up at +102. The oddsmakers suspect that this match will be ending early. The prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ owns a moderately favored line of -270, with a +210 comeback on ‘Fight goes to decision.’
It is Nunes who is favored to get the finish. ‘Nunes wins inside distance’ is on the table at -140 odds, with ‘Not Nunes inside distance’ underdogging at +110. By comparison, ‘Randamie wins inside distance’ is hovering at a sizable underdog moneyline of +446, with ‘Not Randamie inside distance’ at a huge favored value of -662.
