Add UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway to the growing list of MMA fighters looking for a boxing crossover fight.

Speaking to TMZ Sports ahead of his featherweight title defense against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 245, ‘Blessed’ said he would love to share the boxing ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr., hailing the undefeated boxer a master of his craft.

“We’ll see what happens. First thing’s first, I got a big, important fight. But I would love to do that (box Mayweather). He’s one of the best guys ever to do that, and to share the boxing ring with him, that’d be a checklist thing for sure,” Holloway said (h/t BJPenn.com).

UFC fighters have been itching for the chance to make mega money in boxing ever since Conor McGregor fought Mayweather in the squared circle back in 2017. McGregor, who lost the fight via 10th-round TKO, is estimated to have earned a whopping $85 million for his participation. Since then, however, no other UFC fighter has successfully made the crossover. Mayweather will be coming out of retirement in 2020, with fans speculating that the pound-for-pound great is looking to participate in another MMA-boxing crossover fight.

UFC 245, which features Holloway vs. Volkanovski in the co-main event, takes place this Saturday, Dec. 14 at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.
