Georges St-Pierre is willing to come out of retirement. But according to the former UFC two-division champion, it has to be under favorable conditions.

In a recent sit-down with ESPN, the 38-year-old St-Pierre spoke about a possible return, while also noting how previous negotiations to make “the right fight” eventually fizzled out.

“If the right fight came along, they know where to find me,” he said (via MMA Fighting). “We tried to make the right fight but it didn’t work.”

The matchup he’s likely referring to is against current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, which he described as a “legacy fight.” For GSP, that bout is still on the table, as long as it comes with the right contract.

“It depends. If everything is aligned contractually, everything is good, as we speak now, yes I would,” he said of a possible fight against “The Eagle.”

Dana White was originally against the pairing, but the UFC president changed his tune after UFC 242 in early September.

St-Pierre last fought at UFC 217 in 2017, where he won the middleweight title against Michael Bisping. In February, he announced his retirement from competition.
