Tony Ferguson on Khabib fight: ‘We need to do this sh-t’ at UFC 245

After Khabib Nurmagomedov’s victory over Dustin Poirier at UFC 242, Dana White already named Tony Ferguson as the next challenger for the champion. But according to the UFC president, that is if “El Cucuy” does not turn the fight down.

Ferguson appeared on the Ariel Helwani MMA Show on Monday to reiterate his intent to fight “The Eagle” once and for all. If it were up to him, it will all go down on December 14th at UFC 245 in Las Vegas.

“If I was in charge, we’re doing this sh-t in December,” he said. “You know what, I’m calling it right now. We called it already. We need to do this sh-t in December.

“That’s what we want. That’s the date that we want. We want to go out there, we want to perform in Vegas. That’s what I want.”

Of course, Ferguson had no shortage of words for the undefeated champion.

“We’re gonna let Khabib go and eat his hamburgers and cheese and all the other bullsh-t,” he said. “Enjoy it, fathead. Don’t get too fat. You know I’m coming at you harder than Tiramisu Tuesdays.”

UFC 245 will be headlined by a women’s bantamweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Germaine de Randamie.
