This felt like the biggest story to come out of UFC 240, and nothing made sense on the surface. Like a groundhog seeing their shadow Dana White saw a contract dispute and gave Cyborg 48 hours of media cold shoulder, trashing one of the UFC’s most popular Brazilian fighters. Then Joe Rogan stole the show by refusing to acknowledge the beating that Cyborg put on a game, but ultimately outclassed, Felicia Spencer.

The first ever MMA Squared was about Cyborg, and the road she traveled just to get into the UFC. She persisted through ridicule and disregard while in other organizations, and when she finally joined the UFC, a cruel and arbitrary weight cut. If she chooses to leave the premier MMA promotion, it will be a move that I cannot take issue with.

Take care of yourself and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
