UFC Hall-of-Famer B.J. Penn allegedly got into a physical altercation with a strip club bouncer in Honolulu, on Monday night. All of it was caught on video, via TMZ Sports.
As seen on the clip, “The Prodigy” held side control, as some bystanders urge him to stop. Two of them try to break the action off, but to no avail. Seemingly irritated by what he was seeing, another one of the men began throwing punches at another, nearly causing more trouble to break out.
According to TMZ, it all happened outside Club Femme Nu, where Penn was escorted out from after “acting very drunk.” Witness accounts say Penn “smothered the door guy to the ground” as he was being kicked out, and all hell broke loose.
The 40-year-old Penn (16-14, with 13 wins by stoppage) is currently on a seven-fight losing streak since 2011. His last Octagon appearance took place at UFC 237 in Rio, where he lost via unanimous decision to Clay Guida.
