UFC lightweight contender Tony Ferguson seems to be headed on the right direction, in terms of his recovery. Early this month, he revealed that passed his medical evaluations, and shortly after, his wife, Cristina has apparently decided to drop the restraining order she previously filed against him as well.

Cristina filed the court document in mid-March after a series of domestic issues arose between them. A domestic violence hearing was set for April 5th, but that did not push through as requested by her legal counsel. This had subsequently resulted into the court order expiring and being deemed invalid, as noted by documents obtained by MMAFighting.com.

According to Cristina’s attorney Jeffery L. Heath, “there are no matters pending” in the said case.

Despite their troubles, Cristina maintained through a written statement that Tony is “a good husband and good father” to their son, and that the legal proceedings they’ve gone through required the fighter to undergo the necessary medical treatment.

A few days after the restraining order was filed, “El Cucuy” gave an update on his progress, stating everything had been going well at the time.

Ferguson last saw action at UFC 229 last October, where he defeated former 155-pound champion Anthony Pettis via second-round TKO.
