Conor McGregor has reacted to his teammate Artem Lobov’s hard-fought win this past weekend in his Bare Knuckle FC debut against Jason Knight.
Lobov fought to a unanimous decision win in a bloody war against Knight in the main event of BKFC 5 last Saturday night in Biloxi, Mississippi. In the fight, Lobov knocked Knight down three times, but was exhausted come the fifth round and had to hold on strong for the decision win.
What an animal!
Proud of you @RusHammerMMA! Amazing fight
Paulie’s nice and quiet all of a sudden and that’s not like him haha
We want a new contract for the @RusHammerMMA for this next bout!
It has been earned and now deserved!
What a great showing @Jasonthekid23.
Big respect! https://t.co/dQKWIKCRd0

”What an animal!” McGregor wrote. “Proud of you, Artem Lobov! Amazing fight. Paulie’s nice and quiet all of a sudden and that’s not like him haha.”
McGregor was referring to former professional boxer Paulie Malignaggi in his tweet, who is set to face Lobov at BKFC’s next card on June 22nd. McGregor has a history with Malignaggi himself stemming from before the Irishman’s fight with Floyd Mayweather. Malignaggi slapped Lobov in the face during a media event for the promotion prior to “The Russian Hammer’s” fight last weekend.
”We want a new contract for the Russian Hammer for this next bout! It has been earned and now deserved!” Mcgregor said.” What a great showing, Jason Knight, big respect!”
