In front of a mostly pro-Knight crowd in Biloxi, Mississippi, Artem Lobov and Jason Knight engaged in an entertaining five-round battle that saw the two men trade knockdowns and bust each other’s faces up. Despite being completely exhausted, Lobov hung on in the closing seconds to make it the distance and get the nod on all three judges’ scorecards.
Lobov’s win sets up a showdown with former actual boxing world champion Paulie Malignaggi on June 22nd. Bet you didn’t think this would ever be cooked up two years after Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor, did you? Well now it’s two months away from being reality.
