Rizin 14 will feature a unique boxing exhibition match between undefeated great Floyd Mayweather Jr. and 20-year-old kickboxing champion and mixed martial artist Tenshin Nasukawa. It will be done with “special” stipulations, under straight boxing rules for three 3-minute rounds.

The fight result will not reflect on either fighter’s professional record. Mayweather himself made it clear that it will be all about the entertainment aspect, more than anything else.

“It’s all about entertainment. Nine minutes of entertainment. It’s going to be amazing,” he said. “I’m in the entertainment business. That’s what I go out there to do. I love to do this. I’m working out to put on a show for three rounds.”

Nasukawa has worked with boxing champ Jorge Linares recently, however, he hinted on not being too keen on abiding by the rules.

“He says such provocative stuff I feel like kicking him,” the young Japanese fighter said during a demonstration workout on Tuesday in Tokyo (via the Associated Press).

Chael Sonnen had already pointed out the possibility of Rizin not honoring their end of the deal, and even went as far as stating that Mayweather will leave Japan with a 50-1 record.

Rizin 14 is scheduled for December 31st at the Saitama Super Arena.
