It’s fight day! UFC 231 goes down tonight from Toronto, Ontario, Canada with the featherweight title up for grabs in the main event. As of Bloody Elbow’s midweek betting odds post, the marquee matchup was at pick’em odds, and still is, however the moneylines have flipped. The defending champ Max Holloway was the stand alone favorite with challenger Brian Ortega being found at both plus and minus odds. Now, it is Holloway who sits on both sides of the betting line, being found anywhere from -110 up to +105. The challenger, Ortega, can only be picked up at a minus line around -115.

The oddsmakers have Holloway vs. Ortega ending early. ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ owns the favored line of -160, with ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ sitting with a plus mark of +130. ‘Holloway wins by decision’ sits at +200 with ‘Ortega wins by decision’ being had at a much thicker line of +650.

Ortega is trending towards a favored role when it comes to ending it early. ‘Ortega wins inside the distance’ opened up at +185 but now resides at +110. ‘Holloway wins inside the distance’ opened up at +250 but now possesses a heavier underdog line of +410. ‘Ortega wins by submission’ is valued at +215, and by comparison, ‘Holloway wins by submission’ is a massive +1633. As far as finishing the fight by TKO/KO, both main event athletes are sitting around the same spot. ‘Holloway wins by TKO/KO’ is assessed at +450 with ‘Ortega wins by TKO/KO’ slightly smaller at +435.

For the co-main event slot, the oddsmakers heavily favor Valentina Shevchenko to get past Joanna Jedrzejczyk to capture the vacant flyweight title. Shevchenko sports a sizable moneyline of -350, with the UFC’s former strawweight queen Jedrzejczyk resting at a hearty dog tag of +275. Jedrzejczyk finds herself as one the largest betting underdogs of her UFC career, with her only other plus marks coming against Claudia Gadelha at +280 in 2014 and Carla Esparza at +150 in 2015. JJ beat both of them.

The UFC 231 main card will air live on Pay-Per-View at 10:00 P.M. ET with the prelims starting at 8:00 P.M. ET on FS1. The exclusive Fight Pass prelims will begin at 6:15 P.M. ET.
