Khabib Nurmagomedov: Just as Conor McGregor and I feuded, we could reconcile

It can be said that the rivalry between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor is one of the more heated ones in recent memory. The undefeated Dagestani took the verbal attacks against him, his father, and his religion personal, which for “The Notorious” was just “all business.”

As we all know by now, the rift between the two did not end after Khabib forced McGregor into submission in the fourth round of their fight at UFC 229 more than a month ago. But after all is said and done, “The Eagle” says he is now ready to bury the hatchet.

“Everything is possible. Just as McGregor and I feuded, so we could reconcile,” Khabib said during a news conference in Moscow on Monday (via MMAjunkie).

“Who are we not to forgive one another when the Almighty forgives us?”

As for his future plans, Khabib is still looking at the possibility of facing Floyd Mayweather Jr. down the line.

“For legacy and in the sense of the money aspect, and in a sporting sense, I think the Mayweather fight is much more interesting,” he said. “The athletics commission needs to finish up first and then we’ll talk.”

Before he can get to move forward with his fighting career, Khabib, along with McGregor and everyone else involved in the October 6th brawl would have to face the Nevada Athletic Commission in a meeting on December 10th to discuss possible sanctions.
