Khabib Nurmagomedov met the CEO of Mayweather promotions in Leonard Ellerbe this past weekend in Russia. In a short clip reposted by Ellerbe, the UFC lightweight champ called out his fellow undefeated fighter in Floyd Mayweather.
“Hey, let’s go Floyd. We have to fight now. 50-0 vs 27-0. Two guys, never lose,” Khabib said while next to Ellerbe.
“Let’s go! Why not? Because in the jungle, only one king. Of course I am the king, because he cannot drop McGregor, but I dropped him easily. Let’s go.”
Mayweather recently was asked about the UFC 229 brawl, saying that he expects a “huge fine” to be handed out to Khabib and the others involved.
The 41-year-old boxer, who hasn’t fought since his 2017 bout with Conor McGregor, also expressed his desire to come out of retirement for a possible rematch with Manny Pacquiao. The Filipino boxer reportedly signed with Mayweather’s partner in Al Haymon, and was said to have plans of taking a tune up before that lucrative rematch with Floyd.
