The headliner for the card will be the second semi-final of the Heavyweight Grand Prix, with Fedor Emelianenko facing off with Chael Sonnen. The winner of this bout will face Ryan Bader in the finals. The co-main will see former UFC champ Ben Henderson meeting Saad Awad.

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Chael Sonnen
Round 1 – Chael comes forward right away. Fedor drops him with the first punch of the fight! He lets Chael up. He wades in and gets clipped again. He ends up on his back but gets up. Fedor swats Sonnen away on a takedown attempt. After an exchange, Chael tries another takedown but Fedor sambo throws him and ends up on top! He’s in half guard. He steps out and lets him up. Sonnen charges forward but get his with a hip toss. Sonnen dives on an ankle and takes Fedor’s back. He slips off though and Fedor cracks him with punches! He looks like he’s in trouble, but he wraps Fedor up. Fedor passes to side. He stands up again. Weird. Sonnen lands a left. Another lands partially. Fedor misses and Chael takes him down. He’s in half. Sonnen isn’t doing anything here, just controlling. He stepped over into mount but got swept in the process! Fedor is now in Chael’s full guard, but he stands up. Chael tries to come up and Fedor cracks him. He’s all over him on the ground with punches! Sonnen is just turtling! The ref steps in! FEDOR IS GOING TO THE FINALS!

Ben Henderson vs. Saad Awad
Round 1 – Henderson with a body kick. Awad is advancing but not landing. He did land a head kick on a retreating Bendo though. Henderson with a takedown. He grinds away and eventually takes the back with both hooks. Awad scrambles away but Bendo stays on tip of him. He’s up high and Awad comes out the back. He’s looking to secure a D’Arce choke. He’s underneath though. Henderson pulls his head out and drops some punches. Now he’s on the back again. Awad rolls through. Axe kicks from Henderson. 10-9 Henderson.
Round 2 – Henderson tries a switch kick but he slips. Front kick from Awad. Henderson with another body kick. Outside leg kick from Bendo. Overhand left scores for him as well. Awad wades in with a left. Henderson gets a takedown but Awad reverses it. Henderson perseveres and gets Awad to his butt again. Now he’s on his back against the cage. Henderson with some short elbows. Henderson gets knee on belly but Awad squirms away and to his feet. Henderson drags him back down though. He tries to take the back but gets bucked off. Yet he keeps going and puts Awad on his back again. Lots of hustle. Awad is trying to get a kimura but just eats a knee to the side. Henderson trying to mount. He secures an arm-triangle choke, but he’s against the cage. The round ends. 10-9 Henderson.
Round 3 – Henderson opens with a kick for the third round in a row. He spins and lands glancingly with a kick. Henderson goes for a takedown. Awad lands a knee that is close to illegal but it’s to the shoulder. Henderson keeps the pressure up and puts Awad down. He gets Awad to turtle and lands a few punches. Awad sits up to avoid that. The ref stops the action and says that Henderson grabbed the cage to maintain position. The replay shows that he did. So he stands them up. Head kick from Henderson. Henderson really pressuring for a takedown. To the point of sloppiness. Inside leg kick from Awad. Henderson in on a single. He gets Awad to one knee and lands some knees to the thigh. Awad back up and they separate. Left to the body from Bendo. Low leg kick from Henderson. Awad lands a eft at the same time and it looked like it dropped Bendo, but he was just off balance. He pops up and gets an immediate takedown. He’s trying to secure the arm-triangle again. Awad rolls over. He looks for the RNC but is out of time. 10-9 and 30-27 Henderson.
Benson Henderson defeated Saad Awad via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26)
Timothy Johnson vs. Cheick Kongo
Round 1 – Johnson wades in but eats a couple of punches. Kongo with overhand right and a right to the body. Inside leg kick. Again. Johnson in on a takedown but ends up on the bottom. Kongo lands a few punches with his arm and head trapped. Johnson goes limp and this is over.

Alexander Shlemenko vs. Anatoly Tokov
Round 1 – Body kick from Shlemenko. Straight right from Tokov. Shlemenko spins and lands a body kick. Nice counter knee from Shlemenko. They trade lefts. Tokov lands a right but eats a spinning elbow. Shlemenko clinches. He looks for a trip takedown but can’t get it. Tokov with a couple of knees. Tokov gets a takedown now. Shlemenko doesn’t stay down long. Nemkov with a bodylock takedown but it doesn’t last long either. Shlemenko stalks Tokov but wades in too far and Tokov clinches. Nice knees from both men. Shlemenko just misses with another spinning elbow. They trade shots in the pocket, then clinch up again. Tokov with another knee. 10-9 Tokov.
Round 2 – Head kick from Tokov. Shlemenko rushes in but can’t land. Nice left from Tokov. Hard inside leg kick from Shlemenko that was actually straight to the cup. Owww. Tokov told the translator “that was painful’. Humorous moment in a cage fight. They get back to it pretty quickly. Shlemenko waded in quickly but Tokov got a bodylock around the back. He tries to elevate Shlemenko but can’t. He scoots away. Shlemenko with a left, but he gets countered. Body shot from Shlemenko as he clinches. Not much happens there. So they try it again. Not much happens there either, so they separate. Shlemenko with a nice left hook. Tokov responds. Two body kicks from Shlemenko. Tokov spins around to his back but can’t drag him to the mat. 10-9 Shlemenko.
Round 3 – They trade in the center early. Tokov with a knee. Shlemenko charges in but gets backed off by stiff Tokov jabs. Tokov with a good body shot. Shlemenko with a body kick. Shlemenko pushes Tokov against the cage for a few seconds and lands a left hook. They trade knees on the inside. Tokov with a counter right. Shlemenko looks for a takedown but Tokov uses the whizzer effectively. Hard knee from Shlemenko. Shlemenko spins, but Tokov ducks it and drags him to the floor. He gets up, but goes back down to his knees again. Up. Down. Now Tokov has his back on the floor, but Shlemenko gets right back up again. Tokov with a couple of knees. 10-9 and 29-28 Tokov.

Henry Corrales vs. Andy Main
Round 1 – Main pawing with a jab. Inside leg kick from Corrales. Corrales with a jab to the body, and two more inside leg kicks. Main with another jab. Corrales baits him and lands a left hook. He continues to work the body and legs. He misses with two big overhand rights. Main isn’t throwing much else other than jabs and an occasional head kick. Corrales has landed at least 10 inside leg kicks. Main kicks the outside of the leg. The crowd isn’t happy about the perceived lack of action. Combo and a left hook from Corrales. Now a right. He puts together another combo. Main connects with a hard left hook off of a kick. 10-9 Corrales.
Round 2 – Main scores with another left. Corrales still keeping up the high pace. A right hook from Corrales staggers Main a bit. Main trying to continue to jab and land some outside leg kicks. There’s not a lot on them though. Corrales jabbing now, and backing it up with a right. Main actually tries to get a takedown for the first time and trips Corrales to the mat, but he’s back up immediately. Corrales misses with a home run shot. Main with a jab. Combo from Corrales. Leg kick from Main. Jab from Main. Corrales with a combo to the body. Late combo from Corrales. 10-9 Corrales.
Round 3 – Corrales rips the body and lands over the top with a left hook. Main just can’t get a rhythm. Corrales misses with a right, but the follow-up left drops Main. One more huge right and a hammerfist and it’s all over.
