It’s fight day! UFC on FOX 30 kicks off from Calgary, Alberta, Canada tonight, but before you watch, check out what the betting odds have to say. The top of the billing will see a rematch between top-shelf lightweights in Dustin Poirier and Eddie Alvarez. This time around, Poirier opened up as a -145 favorite and has only pulled away, now residing around a stout -160. Since first opening up at +105, Alvarez has drifted out further as an underdog to around +150. The first time these warriors got violent on each other (UFC 211), Poirier barely opened up as an underdog at +100 with Alvarez opening as the favorite at -160. By fight-time, Poirier was rocking the favored line at -130 and Alvarez had flipped to even odds at +100.
The betting odds for the UFC Calgary co-main event has Jeremy Stephens favored to defeat the promotion’s former featherweight champion Jose Aldo. Both athletes opened up with a favored line, Stephens at -105 and Aldo at -130, but since then, Aldo has shifted into underdog territory at around +110. Stephens has fallen further into the favored role and now sits around -120.
UFC on FOX 30 is blessed with another former world champ, as the ‘14-Rose’ Joanna Jedrzejczyk is favored over the UFC’s #5 ranked strawweight, Tecia Torres. Per usual, Jedrzejczyk opened up as the betting favorite, and this time around she sits at a robust moneyline of -295. Torres can be found at a lofty underdog line of +265. ‘Jedrzejczyk wins by decision’ sits at a favored line of -156, dropping a few points from the -125 line in which it opened.
Tonight’s card has two other scheduled bouts with longer betting lines than Jedrzejczyk/Torres. Hakeem Dawodu at -375 is quite favored over the +335 Austin Arnett, and Islam Makhachev at -605 is spectacularly favored over the +505 Kajan Johnson. It’s pick’ems galore tonight as we have a whopping total of six UFC Calgary competitors that can be found at both plus and minus odds.
Six:
