Light heavyweight veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is not done just yet. Away from the Octagon since November 2016 due to a two-year USADA suspension for a positive test result, the 42-year-old will return to the UFC to take on Sam Alvey at UFC Fight Night 137, in his home country of Brazil, as Combate reported.
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (22-8) will try to bounce back from a TKO loss to Ryan Bader. His latest win came in May 2016, when he defeated Patrick Cummins by way of TKO. The victory marks ‘Lil’ Nog’s’ only win in his last four outings, as he was also bested by the likes of Mauricio Rua and Anthony Johnson.
On a two-fight winning streak ever since moving up to the light heavyweight division, Sam Alvey (33-10-1 NC) heads to his third fight in 2018, having already defeated Marcin Prachnio and Gian Villante. His last loss came in October 2017, when he dropped an unanimous decision to Ramzan Emeev.
UFC Fight Night 137 is set for Sao Paulo on September 22, and airs live on FS1. So far, a main event was not announced for the card yet.
