Join us tonight on Bloody Elbow for live results, streaming video (prelims) and detailed play-by-play as Bellator 202 comes to the WinStar Casino in Thackerville, OK.

The headliner will see Bellator women’s featherweight champion Julia Budd put her belt on the line for the second time when she meets Talita Nogueira. The co-main comes in the bantamweight division, with former champ Eduardo Dantas taking on former UFC title challenger Michael McDonald.

Julia Budd vs. Talita Nogueira [FW Title]

Round 1 – Slow start. Lots of feinting. Nogueira with a leg kick. Budd throws a kick but pulls back. Really not a lot going on through two minutes. From kick from Nogueira. Budd finally scoops up Nogueira in the clinch and slams her to the mat right into side control. She works her head over to the cage. She opens up with some punches. Nogueira looked to stand up and Budd seemed to be looking for a choke, but she just retains position instead. More punches. 10-9 Budd.

Round 2 – Nogueira with a jab and a front kick that come up short. Head kick from Budd lands. Outside leg kick too. Nogueira with a jab. They trade outside low kicks. Another kick lands for Budd as Nogueira scores with a right hook. Budd ties her up against the fence. She lands a few knees. Nogueira can’t get away. Hard knee to the abdomen. Budd is doing enough to keep it there. She’s working Nogueira over. Nogueira goes down from a knee to the body. Budd has her arm trapped and she’s beating her up with punches. 30 seconds to go. She tries to drop elbows. A right gets through. Nogueira survives. 10-8 Budd.

Round 3 – Nogueira throws a body kick that’s blocked. Budd with a head kick. Outside leg kick from Budd. Big combo and she clinches again. Knee to the body from Budd. Nogueira looks for a throw and ends up on her back. Budd isn’t jumping into her guard. But she does step through with a big, strafing right. She ends up in Nogueira’s full guard against the cage with more than half the round left. She opens up with more shots and Nogueira is bleeding. Budd stands out and tells Nogueira to get up. Combo and a leg kick from Budd. A huge right drops Nogueira! She’s all her and it’s over.

Eduardo Dantas vs. Michael McDonald

Round 1 – Body kick from Mayday. After a measuring period, McDonald ducks in and cracks Dantas with a right and he’s down! He jumps on him and pounds away. Dantas rolls over, Mayday keeps punching, and it’s over! WOW!

It appears that Dantas suffered some sort of ankle injury.

Chris Honeycutt vs. Leo Leite

Round 1 – They brawl a bit right away. Honeycutt with a body kick. Leite with a right over the top in an exchange. Honeycutt with a nice uppercut. Leite presses Honeycutt against the cage and trips him to the mat. He’s back up, but Leite is human backpacking him. Honeycutt lands some elbows to the thigh and Leite actually gave up on it. He kept a body kock though, and got another brief trip takedown. They battle in the clinch. They finally separate with under a minute to go, and head straiht into a brawl. Just leaning forward and chucking overhands. Honeycutt looking for a takedown. He can’t get it. Winging right from Leite. 10-9 Leite.

Round 2 – Honeycutt ducks some punches and tries to clinch. It doesn’t work. Body shot from leite. Right from Honeycutt. Two big knees from Honeycutt. Leite looks for a trip but it didn’t work. Honeycutt with a nice takedown and he works from top position. He traps and arm and bloodies Leite up with elbows. The pace slows, but Honeycutt is in a dominant position. Leite gets half guard back. Leite gets up with a minute to go but he’s beaten up. Back in the clinch. Big knees from Honeycutt. 10-8 Honeycutt.

Round 3 – Honeycutt takes the back quickly and Leite ends turtling on his knees in the center of the cage. Honeycutt peppers him with punches on both sides. Leite rolls to full guard. After a period of inactivity, the ref stands them up halfway through the round. Low leg kick from Honeycutt. Leite gets a left through. More knees from Honeycutt. Leite is gassed. Honeycutt with more kees against the fence. Leite goes down to his butt. Honeycutt peppers him with punches and Leite rolls onto his knees. Leite gets one knee up so he can’t eat knees. Honeycutt just ragdolling him again. They separate with 10 seconds to go. Leite misses with punches. 10-9 and 29-27 Honeycutt.

Chris Honeycutt defeated Leo Leite via unanimous decision (30-25, 30-25, 30-25)

Valentin Moldavsky vs. Ernest James

Round 1 – James with a leg kick. Slow start. Moldavsky lands with a right but James reponds. They clinch up against the cage. Moldavsky looks for a takedown but can’t get it. James continues to fight it off but Moldavsky just keeps going for it. They grind in the clinch and the ref asks for action, so they break. They trade low kicks. Moldavsky with a hard right. James with a counter but Moldavsky cracks him right back. Hard straight right from Moldavsky and he finishes well. 10-9 Moldavsky.

Round 2 – Inside leg kick from James. Slow start. Moldavsky with a reaching right. They clinch. Moldavsky lands inside. James’ eye is rapidly shutting, and he’s bleeding. James ducks for a takedown, but it wasn’t set up very well. Moldavsky put him against the fence. They continue there for a while before they reset. They’re both throwing wild single shots. Moldavsky tags James, and then hurts him with the next shot. He beats James down and it’s over.
