The fighter salaries are in for last week’s The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale, and rising middleweight prospect Israel Adesanya led the way with a $112,000 paycheck for his efforts.
The 28-year-old also received a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus in addition to his reported salary. Alex Caceres, Martin Bravo, and Luis Pena also received $50,000 fight night bonuses on top of their disclosed salaries. The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) released the full fighter salaries to MMA Fighting’s Shaun Al-Shatti on Monday.
Adesanya, a former kickboxer under the Glory banner, put on a masterclass against seasoned veteran Brad Tavares in the main event, cruising to a unanimous decision at the Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada.
‘The Last Stylebender’ extended his undefeated MMA streak to 14-0 and is expected to surge into the top ten UFC middleweight rankings after earning his third straight win in the promotion. His opponent, 30-year-old Tavares, was the No. 8-ranked middleweight in the world at the time of their headlining bout at The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale.
