
Israel Adesanya just stunted on the UFC’s #8 ranked middleweight Brad Tavares in the TUF 27 Finale main event. The opening round was a bit of a feeling out process round if you will, but then Adesanya came alive. From head kicks to liver kicks, and everything in between, Adesanya had his way with his opponent on the feet. The misdirection used by Adesanya is quite remarkable as Tavares was unable to see the strikes coming his way, including a viscous spinning elbow and plenty of knees.
In the final round, Adesanya opted to work his ground attack a bit, controlling Tavares from top position. When the seconds were ticking away, Adesanya dove for a mounted guillotine, which looked awfully tight, but time ran out before we could see just how close he actually was to finishing.
