While she didn’t suffer any damage in the infamous bus incident involving Conor McGregor before UFC 222, women’s strawweight fighter Karolina Kowalkiewicz was front and center in the bus while Conor and his boys laid waste to it. In the aftermath, UFC president Dana White predicted that McGregor might have to deal with a few lawsuits stemming from the incident, and that seems like an eventuality. For her part though, Kowalkiewicz won’t be getting in on that act.

In an interview with MMA Flashback, Karolina described the incident and revealed that she received an apology from McGregor, so lawsuits are not on her mind:

“I saw Conor McGregor hitting the windows, then saw Rose Namajunas crying while Pat (Barry) was protecting her face. (Michael) Cheisa’s face was blood stained. My coaches told me to hide, but I wanted to see what was going on. But they kept me under the seats. And that’s all.

“In my opinion Conor broke a little, he probably realized what happened afterward and he wrote an apology letter to me. I have no intention of suing anyone. Fortunately, nothing happened to me. Growing up in Lodz, I’ve seen worse things.”

When she was asked about how Conor would be disciplined if she was in Dana White’s shoes, she quickly demurred:

“Don’t ask me about it (laughing). I’m not Dana. Fortunately I don’t have to think about it.”

Kowalkiewicz is coming off a win over Felice Herrig last month, and is still very much in the mix for another title shot at 115 pounds.
