Invicta FC attempts to to fill the gap at the top of their bantamweight division by setting up a title fight between veteran Sarah Kaufman (19-4) and Katharina Lehner (7-0). Kafuman’s looked better than ever since parting ways with the UFC, and Lehner wants to test herself against one of the most dangerous threats at 135.
Pannie Kianzad (8-3, and also interviewed here) is slated to fight Bianca Daimoni (7-2), while former UFC fighter Pearl Gonzalez (7-3) gets paired up against another Brazilian, Barbara Acioly. The pair are already off to an unpleasant start.
Julia Avila (4-0) looks to make this her coming-out party against Marciea Allen (6-2), and Cheri Muraski (4-1) goes up against little dynamo Liz Tracy (4-2). Hard-hitting Macy Chiasson (1-0 pro – seriously) and Allison Schmidt (1-0) fight it out to begin a new chapter in helping rebuild the featherweight division. Finally, one of the most dangerous chefs alive steps in the cage as Helen Peralta meets Xtreme Couture amateur veteran Cheyanne Vlismas (1-0). You can also learn more about Peralta’s story here.
Unfortunately, Bianca Daimoni and Barbara Acioly missed weight. As per Invicta, they will be forfeiting 25% of their fight purse. You can watch the weigh-ins below (link here if not available on page).
