The UFC on FOX 29 co-main event saw Alex Oliveira submit longtime MMA veteran Carlos Condit in the second round of their welterweight tilt. Just when Condit found top position, Oliveira scrambled out, and as Condit shot in, “Cowboy” grabbed ahold of the choke, and stayed with it until he felt the tap. Oliveira has now won five of his last six bouts, and finishing Condit should get him a big name bout for his next outing.

Co-main Event:

Alex Oliveira def. Carlos Condit by submission (Guillotine) at 3:17 of round 2: Welterweight

Oliveira clipped his foe with a big punch as Condit rushed in to open the bout. An easy takedown was achieved for Oliveira early on, but Condit was able to scramble into top position where he racked up some ground strikes. Condit took the back with less than a minute remaining in the first round, attempting an RNC as time ran out.

Oliveira scored another early takedown to open the second frame, but again Condit reversed the position to find top position. A gushing cut formed on the head of Condit and it dripped all over Oliveira. “Cowboy” escaped from underneath his opponent and locked up a tight Guillotine choke, forcing the veteran to tap!

Who wants Carlos Condit on their back? Nobody.
