Just in case you didn’t already know, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor went on a rampage after UFC 223’s media day activities early this afternoon. The Irishman, who wasn’t originally expected to show up (according to Dana White), popped in this afternoon at Barclays Center and attacked a van set to transport several fighters, most notably Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team. A hand-truck was thrown through a window and several passengers were injured, including Michael Chiesa, who required a hospital visit.

One of the passengers on board was former WEC owner and current UFC VP of Athlete Development, Reed Harris. Harris took to Twitter to relay the experience, but social media has been taking him to task over the dramatic nature of the tweets. The thread begins with this post, which immediately drew ridicule from fight fans.

*Note: Mr. Harris removed his tweet about three minutes after this post was published, but not to worry, we grabbed a screen cap of it.

“At hospital with one of my coworkers. Possible broken hand due to attack by Conor and his gang of thugs. I got cut and showered with glass. We thought we were gonna die.”

Harris has posted two more times with the following:

“When the hand truck enemy threw window and hit Chiesa in the head and he started gushing blood. Yes. I thought we were in big trouble.”

“I’ve been in dozens of scuffles in UFC. Never once was I scared. This time was different.”

UFC 223 goes down this Saturday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Be sure to follow our continuous coverage HERE.
