Conor McGregor’s actions during the end of UFC 223’s media day caused a lot of disarray and negative attention, to say the least. Per reports on the incident, fighters on the card such as Michael Chiesa, Ray Borg, and strawweight champion Rose Namajunas were the ones most distraught by what happened.
Further reports claimed that McGregor was looking for Khabib Nurmagomedov because of the incident with Artem Lobov earlier this week. “The Eagle”, however, says he is open to a dialogue with McGregor, as long as he is sent the location.
UFC president Dana White, who has always been on the side of “The Notorious”, was disgusted by the incident, and even wonders if the Irishman was on drugs at the time. UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington apparently shares the same sentiment with White.
According to latest reports, Borg has been taken out of his fight against Brandon Moreno, and Chiesa was also pulled out of his scheduled main card fight against Anthony Pettis. The reasons were said to be in relation to the injuries that they both sustained from the incident.
The rest of the card will seemingly go on as planned, as UFC 223 takes place on Saturday, April 7th, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
