Around the year 2003, Kevin Ferguson took the world of underground street fighting by storm, under the alias Kimbo Slice, and built a cult following that saw him climb his way to the main stage of Mixed Martial Arts competition. Kimbo fought in backyards, boatels, and even in the street itself before finally making it into an actual sanctioned MMA match, to which he ultimately graced premiere promotions such as Elite XC, the UFC, as well as Bellator MMA.

Among his notable professional MMA wins were icons like Tank Abbott, James Thompson, and Ken Shamrock, but we are not here today to talk about those bouts. No, we are here to discuss the eight underground street fights that launched Kimbo into the public eye, and made the majority of us wonder what would happen if he ever fought in a major MMA promotion. So, join Bloody Elbow as the 6th Round Retro takes a look back at the legendary street fights of Kimbo Slice.
