The headliner is the second bout of the Heavyweight Grand Prix quarter-finals, pitting Matt Mitrione against Roy Nelson in a rematch of a long-ago UFC bout.

Round 1 – Nelson throws the overhand right but it’s blocked. Mitrione with a body jab and a combo. Uppercut from Meathead. Nelson looks for a takedown but Mitrione stuffs it and beats him up a bit against the cage. Straight left. Hard inside leg kick from Mitrione. Two more. Lead uppercut from Mitrione. Nelson with a right. Another lead uppercut. A third. Nelson has another shot stuffed but he gets Mitrione against the cage. Mitrione tries to scoot away but got taken down with 1:35 to go. He passes out to side against hte cage. Back to half. Nelson didn’t do much at all with 90 seconds of top time.Finally one late punch. 10-9 Mitrione.
Round 2 – Mitrione back to the inside leg kick. Nelson with a right. Another stumbled Nelson. He just keeps doing it. Lead uppercut again. Lead left hook. He goes to the body. Nelson with a couple of lefts. Mitrione fires back. Head kick from Mitrione blocked. Jab from Mitrione. Another jab. Nelson misses with an uppercut. Nelson’s eye is bloodied. He lands a glancing right. Nelson in on a takedown and he slams Mitrione to the mat with 1:10 to go. Nelson with some shots. He’s warned for shots to the back of the head. 10-9 Mitrione.
Round 3 – Meathead goes back to what is working – the lead uppercut and a leg kick. Nelson with a right and he looks for a takedown, without success. Stiff jab from Mitrione. They both land. They’re both slowing down. Hard body kick and a jab from Mitrione. Left from Nelson. He’s in on a takedown and gets it with 3:15 to go this time. Nelson just laying on him in half. He passes to side. He traps an arm and lands some punches. The punches aren’t hard but Mitrione is completely stuck. Nelson with short elbows. He doesn’t have the leverage to land hard. He’s going for the other arm bow. Mitrione rolls away and gets up with 30 seconds to go. Nelson drags him back down. Hard elbow. 10-9 Nelson but 29-28 Mitrione.

Main Card (9pm ET)
Round 1 – Campos advancing forward. He lands a right. Pitbull with a low leg kick. Hard uppercut from Freire. Low keg kick from both me. Campos land a hard right but Freire fired back with his own and dropped Campos! He’s all over him with shots and the ref had to jump in. That was violent.

Round 1 – Hardy with a leg kick. Julaton clinches up. They look awkward in the clinch. They move all the way across the cage. Hardy lands a couple of knees. The crowd is unimpresses. Hardy is looking for a guillotine. Julaton scoops a single, but doesn’t seem to know what else to do. This is awful. They move already the way across the cage the other way. Hardy just sort of drags Julaton to the mat. Hardy with some punches. She tries to secure a no-hooks rear naked choke. 10-9 Hardy I guess.
Round 2 – Julaton with a jab. Body kick from Julaton. Left cross from Hardy. Body kick from Julaton. Julaton caught a kick and took Hardy down. Julaton moved her over to the cage. Hardy is up with three minutes to go. Julaton is just grabbing onto a leg. Hardy in a seated position trying to land punches. Julaton just eating what would generously be called hard punches. Now she just sat straight up into another no-hook RNC. Hardy doesn’t go for it tough. She tries to roll over into back mount but…now she’s trying a choke from the side or something. Julaton gets out and works from full guard. This is hilariously bad. 10-9 Hardy I guess.
Round 3 – They trade kicks. Julaton with a body kick. Ana clinches up. The ref breaks them with 3:15 to go. Julaton with a spinning kick that misses. Hardy clinches up this time. The ref breaks them again with two minutes to go. Julaton clinches. Hardy with some knees to the belly. Another ref break with 40 seconds to go. Julaton with a couple of jabs. Guess what? They clinched up again. Hardy hits a trip but ends up on the bottom. 10-9 Julaton, but 29-28 Hardy.
Heather Hardy defeated Ana Julaton by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)
Round 1 – Nemkov with two kicks early. And another. Nemkov with a hard right over the top. Another inside leg kick. Now an uppercut. McGeary off to a slow start. He finally lands a body kick. McGeary broke a clinch with a knee and a head kick. Jab from McGeary. Good combo from Nemkov. Another right from Nemkov. Outside leg kick. And another. He’s just chopping away. McGeary slips on his own kick. Nemkov just chewing up the front leg. Nemkov with a takedown right at the horn. 10-9 Nemkov.
Round 2 – Nemkov with a jab. McGeary with a high body kick. Huge right from Nemkov! That made McGeary look for a takedown, but Nemkov got on top. Armbar from McGeary! Nemkov shook him off and stood up. He’s kicking the legs. McGeary is up. Nice combo from Nemkov. Hard straight left too. McGeary with a jab. Outside leg kick. The pace has slowed. Nemkov with an overhand right and more leg kicks. McGeary’s leg almost buckled from more kicks. 10-9 Nemkov.
Round 3 – McGeary is really limping. Of course, Nemkov lit up the leg right away. Now to the inside. Nemkov with an easy takedown but he doesn’t stay in guard. He just starts kicking the legs from his feet. McGeary up. Nice counter left from McGeary. Nemkov chopped out the back leg and McGeary went down. Nemkov just kicking his legs again. McGeary up, but it was a struggle. Another low kick. Ouch. Another. Another. I might just copy and paste Another to use here for a while. One minute left. Finally, mercifully, another kick made McGeary turn away in crippling pain and the ref called it off.
Vadim Nemkov defeated Liam McGeary via TKO (a thousand leg kicks), 4:20 of round 3
Round 1 – Perez had a front kick blocked. Front kick from Claxton. Slow start. Inside leg kick from Perez. Jumping knee from Claxton. Claxton with a takedown and moves to half. The action has stalled out. Finally Claxton gets a couple of elbows through. He tries to pin an arm but that’s not happening. Claxton appeared to be setting up an arm triangle, bu he went back to big elbows instead. 10-9 Claxton.
Round 2 – Claxton with a takedown. After moving his opponent over to the cage, he opened up with some rights. Briefly. He postured up with a steady streams of fists to the face. The ref warns Perez. It wasn’t a ton of crazy shots, but the accumulation led to referee Keith Peterson stopping the fight.
