It might be over five months until the highly anticipated champion vs. champion heavyweight match-up between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier, but both men are already doing their part to promote the upcoming super-fight in the media.
Miocic and Cormier, who will feature as rival coaches on The Ultimate Fighter 27, squared off for the first time yesterday on the TUF set in Las Vegas.

Miocic, the reigning heavyweight champion, and Cormier, the undisputed light heavyweight champ, will coach a series of aspiring UFC lightweight and featherweight competitors before locking horns for the heavyweight title at UFC 226.
Miocic recently defended his heavyweight strap against the feared Francis Ngannou at UFC 220, beating the Cameroonian challenger over the course of five rounds to win a unanimous decision.
Cormier, who was reinstated as the official LHW champ in 2017 after his rival Jon Jones tested positive for PEDs, TKO’d top contender Volkan Oezdemir in the UFC 220 co-main event and stormed into the top-three pound-for-pound rankings.
UFC 226, which features the heavyweight championship tilt between Miocic and Cormier in the main event, takes place on July 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
