As a veteran fight promoter, UFC president Dana White is often riddled with criticisms. Most of these stem from fighters’ grievances about their compensation, which led to many either being vocal about them to the media or jumping ship to other promotions.
Those in the service industry, however, have no gripes towards the brash UFC executive, who is actually known as a generous tipper. This trait was once again in full display according to a report by the Boston Globe, when White along with some friends dined at the Empire Asian Restaurant & Lounge in the Seaport in Boston during the UFC 220 festivities.
We’re told White’s table left a $4,000 tip — roughly 250 percent of the bill — stunning the staff. Earlier in the evening, they’d been at the Celtics-76ers game at TD Garden. The next night, after UFC 220 at the Garden, White stopped by the new Seaport club The Grand, where he drank Ace of Spades champagne.
White’s net worth skyrocketed after the UFC’s sale to WME-IMG in July 2016. After the $4 billion deal, he reportedly bagged $360 million upon its closing and was projected to subsequently make an annual income of $18 million.
