When Aaron Pico made his heavily hyped professional MMA debut last year, he suffered a quick submission loss to Zach Freeman. Pico rebounded with a beautiful left hook KO of Justin Linn, and at Bellator 192 on Saturday night, the 21-year-old once again showed his powerful boxing.
Facing off against veteran Shane Kruchten, Pico needed just a single shot to the body to fold Kruchten up, and the fight was called off after just 37 seconds. Check out the video below.
Here’s Brent Brookhouse’s play-by-play for Bloody Elbow:
Round 1 – Body shot by Pico absolutely crushes Kruchten and that’s the fight, folks. A beautiful, brutal left hand to the body was all it took for Pico to get the victory.
Official Result: Aaron Pico def. Shane Kruchten via knockout (body punch) – Round 1, 0:37
Expect Pico to be a major part of Bellator MMA’s events throughout 2018, and his two wins have been sensational.
