The UFC 218 Fight Pass prelims were headlined by a Women’s Strawweight fight between Amanda Cooper and Angela Magana. Now, fans looking to rewatch it on Fight Pass won’t be able to see the full fight.
For the replay of the Fight Pass prelim card, the UFC has edited Cooper vs. Magana, removing 15 seconds of actual fight time from round 1. That edit of course coincides with easily the most talked about moment of the fight. During a ground battle in the opening frame, with Cooper controlling from top position and attacking the chest of her opponent, Magana suffered a wardrobe malfunction, leaving her top exposed (and drawing a vocal reaction from the pro-Cooper crowd). The action was paused while Magana adjusted her top and once she was set, the fight continued.
For the version now on Fight Pass, the fight jumps directly from 2:00 left on the clock in round 1 to 1:45 left on the clock. In both instances, Cooper is on top, creating an almost seamless transition and leaving no evidence of the nudity or break in action.
Cooper would go on to win the fight via stoppage in the 2nd round, though Magana has expressed her displeasure over what she feels is an early stoppage.
