
The UFC women’s strawweight title was up for grabs at UFC 217, as Joanna Jedrzejczyk got knocked out by the #4 ranked Rose Namajunas in the first round of their title fight. Jedrzejczyk came in looking to extend her five title defenses to six, after putting on an absolute striking clinic in her fifth defense against Jessica Andrade at UFC 211 back in May of this year, but Namajunas had other plans in mind. Where will Namajunas go from here, and who will be next in line to face the new champion?

Namajunas came out striking with the strawweight champ, and even dropped her early in the opening round. Jedrzejczyk regained her composure and returned to her feet, just to get dropped again with a left hook, and finished off with some ground strikes. And new!!!
