
The top of the UFC Sao Paulo billing saw Derek Brunson put Lyoto Machida to sleep inside of the 1st round, sending the Brazilian fans home bitterly disappointed. The UFC’s #7 middleweight hurt the former light heavyweight champion with a massive left hook, and followed up with vicious ground and pound to seal the deal. It’s another knockout win for Brunson and a third consecutive loss for Machida, who has been stopped in all of those defeats.

Round 1 – Slow start. Brunson with a leg kick. Machida with a nice straight left as Brunson tried to advance. Brunson with an inside leg kick. Brunson with a left and Machida is hurt! He jumped on him and beat Machida unconscious!
