We have our first member of the Final Four, and it is The Iceman. #1 seed Chuck Liddell was able to take out the challenge of #2 Dan Henderson, putting Hendo down by a score of 47-26. No report yet on if an eye-poke was involved in the finish.
Today, we determine who Liddell will face in the semifinals, and we do so with another Pride vs. UFC battle. On the UFC side, it’s current UFC Light Heavyweight champion and #1 seed Daniel Cormier. For Pride Never Die, it’s #3 seed and longtime Pride champion Wanderlei Silva. Either the Axe Murderer will do his thing, or Cormier will grind him out. Let’s see what happens.
