UFC Gdansk video highlights: Darren Till finishes Donald Cerrone in opening round

Darren Till has gone from rising prospect to a brand new contender in the UFC’s welterweight division. In his first UFC main event, Till needed just over four minutes to stop #6-ranked Donald Cerrone in Gdansk, Poland. It’s by far the biggest and most impressive win of the Liverpudlian’s career, and you can expect to see him in even more significant matchups in 2018. As for Cerrone, it’s a three-fight losing streak, with two coming by TKO, and surely the end of the road for him as a title contender.

Round 1 – Cerrone looking for a takedown, but Till blocked it. Till with two straight lefts. Another got through. Cerrone with a step-in knee but Till land a left again. Cowboy ducks a left and gets a takedown, but Till is straight back up. Nice hab from Till. Cowboy with a low kick. Two more lefts from Till. Cerrone with an outside leg kick. Till to the body. Till with a hard shovel hook. Now a straight left. Cerrone goes to the body. Body kick from Cowboy. Till with two hard lefts that stagger Cerrone! A big elbow and Till is all over him! Cowboy turns his back and Till finishes him! WOW!
