When Srisaket Sor Rungvisai defeated Roman Gonzalez for the first time, it was not without controversy. That night, the Thai fighter took home a controversial decision win, making a rematch a guarantee. In the rematch, there was no controversy.
Insetad of leaving things for the judges, Srisaket put an emphatic period on his series with Chocolatito, knocking out the former pound for pound king at 1:13 of the 4th round. Take a look at the KO above, or here on HBO’s Twitter.
Srisaket vs. Chocolatito was the capper on a great night of action on HBO that featured three fights in the 115 pound Super Flyweight division. The event also included a violently impressive US debut for Naoya Inoue, plus a terrific barn-burner opener between Juan Francisco Estrada and Carlos Cuadras. It may not have been a show high on star power for the casual fan, and it had the misfortune of going up against UFC 215, but for any fan of combat sports, it was a great, must-see card.
