Domination. That’s the only word for the #2 ranked Dan Henderson’s victory over #7 Alistair Overeem. Hendo came tantalizingly close to the elusive BE’s Baddest shut-out, defeating pre-Reem by a score of 39-1. Impressive win no doubt, and Hendo now brings his H-Bomb into the Sweet 16 with great momentum.

Today, one of the matches I am most intrigued by in this opening round. Here is #4 Gegard Mousasi vs. #5 Ryan Bader. Both have held gold outside the UFC, but never made it to the top of the UFC ladder. Interestingly, it’s also the super-rare Bellator vs Bellator fight.
