It was to be expected, but Conor McGregor got into a bit of a scuffle with Floyd Mayweather and ‘The Money Team’ during the grand arrivals in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

McGregor and Mayweather kept it relatively clean throughout the MayMac media world tour, but the Irishman says there was some ‘pushing and shoving’ yesterday, but nothing to put the big fight in jeopardy.

“I see him [Mayweather] and I go, are you afraid of a face-off?” McGregor told MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani during yesterday’s media scrum. “And then we came forward and there was a little bit of pushing and shoving, and that’s it.”

The UFC lightweight champion called Mayweather’s entourage ‘goons’ and blasted ‘Money’ for being unable to walk out in public without his security. McGregor told the media that Mayweather’s goon squad won’t be able to protect him in the boxing ring on Aug. 26.

“I mean, he can’t walk around the place without being surrounded by these donkeys,” McGregor said. “And that’s what they are – absolute donkeys. Look, he’s in the ring on his own.”

McGregor also got into a bit of an altercation with Mayweather’s team at last month’s New York presser, where ‘The Best Ever’ instructed his squad to ‘form voltron’ and encircle McGregor’s team on stage.

Mayweather and McGregor will collide in ‘the biggest fight in combat sports history’ on August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
