If Cris Cyborg has her way, she’ll be defending her UFC Featherweight Championship in Las Vegas against Holly Holm. The newly crowed champion took to Twitter and Instagram to push for the fight to take place on the New Year’s card, UFC 219.
Yesterday, LA Times reporter Lance Pugmire tweeted that the UFC wants Cyborg to defend her title in New York City at UFC 217. Cyborg responded to this tweet, saying that she does not want to share her head coach, Jason Parillo, with Michael Bisping on fight night.
I don’t want share my boxing coach fight night. I will not fight same week bispbing. I want Holly in Vegas NY commission need experience MMA

In the post, Cyborg also doubted the skills of the New York State Athletic Commission, saying that they needed more experience in MMA.
Cyborg took things a step further today on Instagram. She posted a photo-shopped picture of her and Holm facing off in the cage. The caption states that she has told her management team about wanting Holm at UFC 219. Cyborg has also changed her Twitter name to “#UFC219 CyborgVHolm”.
“I just called my manager @primetime360esm and told him I want to fight @hollyholm #UFC219 in LAS VEGAS #CyborgVHolm if you want to see this fight New Years now is the time to send your messages to the @ufc @danawhite,” Cyborg said in the Instagram post.
Holm’s only career fight at featherweight was a close decision loss to Germaine de Randamie at UFC 208. She rebounded from her 3rd straight loss with a head kick KO of Bethe Correia in the main event of UFC Singapore in June.
