Join us today on Bloody Elbow for live results, discussion, round scoring and play-by-play as UFC Fight Night: Pettis vs. Moreno takes place in Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.

The headliner comes in the flyweight division, with fellow 23-year-olds Sergio Pettis and Brandon Moreno looking to get one step closer to a title shot.

Today’s event coincide with regular Fight Night times. Live results and play-by-play will commence with the Fight Pass broadcast at 7pm ET/4pm PT for two fights. The event will then flip over to FS1 for four more prelims starting at 8pm ET, and stay there for the full main card which goes down at 10pm ET. The full lineup and schedule follows. Sergio Pettis vs. Brandon Moreno

Round 1 – Moreno with a hard low kick. Moreno with a takedown. He worked in full guard. Moreno squirms around to his back, gets hooks, and a body triangle. Pettis is trying to scoot away but can’t – the body triangle won’t let him. Moreno isn’t coming close to sinking a choke, but Pettis is still stuck. Moreno with a few punches now. He’s got an arm over the face, but can’t get it under the chin. More punches from Moreno and Pettis is bleeding. 10-8 Moreno.

Round 2 – Slow start. Moreno whiffs on a big right. And now a left as he runs across the cage. Leg kick and a jab from Pettis. Pettis catches two kicks. Nice head kick from Pettis. And another! Moreno grabbed the second one and took him down though. Pettis looking for a triangle. Moreno spins out, but Pettis is back up. Front kick from Pettis. Moreno with a leg kick. Front kick from Pettis. Head kick again from Pettis. Now a low outside leg kick on the opposite side. Body kick from Pettis. The pace has slowed. Moreno with a jab and an outside leg kick. Jab from Pettis. 10-9 Pettis.

Round 3 – Pettis with that snapping head kick again. Low kick. Pettis misses with a superman punch. Pettis caught a kick and landed a kick that may have been illegal as Moreno was already on the ground. John McCarthy restarts them on the feet. Moreno charges in but just gets matadored. Head kick from Pettis and two more big shots. Beautiful jab. Moreno can’t get a takedown. Moreno with a leg kick. Pettis with another right. Low leg kick from Pettis wobbles Moreno. Pettis with two jabs and a right. His striking looks excellent here, and Moreno doesn’t have much in return. Moreno has a head kick blocked, then eats one to the face. Moreno is cut over the eye from another hard right. 10-9 Pettis.

Round 4 – Neither is able to find their range early. Pettis back to the jab. An eyepoke to Moreno stops the action. The doctor is in to check him, but he’s good to go. They both land jabs. Hard right over the top for Pettis. Moreno with a left. Moreno with a running body kick. Pettis kicks both sides of the lead leg, then lands another jab. Pettis with a knee. Moreno to the body. Moreno lands a nice right. Best punch in a few rounds. Pettis goes back to the jab again. Moreno missing with big single strikes. Pettis pops him with the left yet again. Cartwheel kick from Pettis late and Moreno takes him down. 10-9 Pettis.

Round 5 – Pettis with a counter right. Back to the jab. Moreno shoots in for a long takedown and gets it. It looked like Pettis thought guillotine but it was too late to change his mind and he ended up on his back. Moreno isn’t doing much with the position, just patting Pettis on the face. Moreno backed out and ate two upkicks. Moreno jumped back on and lands two rights. Moreno back in tight now. They move against the cage. Pettis trying to angle out but he can’t. Moreno takes the back with 90 seconds to go but Pettis stands up and dumps him off. Moreno with an inside leg kick. Pettis with a jab and a body kick. Pettis looks for a takedown and landed a hard combo. Spinning back kick from Pettis. They brawl to the horn. I have it 10-9 Moreno, and a 47-47 draw.

Alexa Grasso vs. Randa Markos

Round 1 – Grasso with a body kick. Markos with an inside leg kick. They trade punches. Markos with a right. Nice jab from Grasso. Outside leg kick from Grasso. Markos lands two more hard shots as Grasso advances. Nice right from Grasso. Grasso kicking again. Grasso with a straight right and she avoids the counter. Another nice jab from the Mexican fighter. Right hook/leg kick combo from Grasso. Markos threatened to spin. Grasso with a body kick and a nice combination. She clinches up and lands knees to the thigh. Markos looked for a throw but Grasso took her back and pulled her down. Grasso landed a few elbows on the ground before they returned to the feet with 40 seconds to go. They battle in the clinch for a bit. Grasso with a leg kick. 10-9 Grasso.

Round 2 – Head kick from Grasso. Markos brawls her way inside. Markos looks for a takedown but Grasso battled it off. They’re back up, but Markos gets Grasso down. Briefly. Clinch fighting. Back to the center. Grasso with a jab. Nice right too. Markos catches a kick and trips Grasso to the mat. She works from half guard. Grasso turned the corner and got up. Markos landed a knee on the way up. Inside leg kick from Grasso. Body kick gets caught again and Markos trips her down again. Grasso looks to reverse position, but Markos transitioned to mount. Elbows from Markos. Big punches. Grasso gave up her back, albeit unwillingly. She rolled back over and scoots back to half. Good round. 10-9 Markos.

Round 3 – Tentative start to round 3. Markos with a right, Grasso lands the counter left. Markos caught a kick again and spun Grasso around. Markos lands hard. Grasso stops a takedown but eats a knee to the gut. Markos gets a nice takedown. Markos in a sitting position landing punches. Grasso uses butterflies to push her off and get up. Two minutes left. Right for Grasso. Jab too. Another jab and she stuffs a takedown attempt. Grasso lands three punches. Markos not firing back. Grasso jumps a guillotine, then lets go and lands a nice right. Grasso with another right and she’s taking over late. Another right. Now a left as they brawl. Grasso stole that back. 10-9 and 29-28 Grasso.

Alan Jouban vs. Niko Price

Price starts with pressure. Jouban with a body kick, Price responds with a calf kick. They trade rights. Price staggers Jouban with a right and drops him with a head kick! He’s all over him and the fight is over. Wow. So many wows on this card.

Humberto Bandenay vs. Martin Bravo

Round 1 – They trade kicks. Again. Bandenay landed a head kick and Bravo is OUT COLD! WHOA! It looked like his knee landed to the chin and turned the lights out. WOW!

Sam Alvey vs. Rashad Evans

Round 1 – Rashad misses with a leg kick 40 seconds in. Rashad shoots in but can’t get anything. They clinch up. Alvey with a knee to the gut. Evans with a body shot. Alvey with a short shot while Rashad continues to look for the takedown. Dirty boxing from Rashad. This isn’t exciting. Knee to the thigh from Evans, and he gets Alvey down to his butt. Alvey back up, and they separate with 1:20 to go. Alvey charges forward but couldn’t find anything. Rashad with a winging right that’s partially blocked. Evanshead kick blocked. They clinch up again. 10-9 Evans I guess.

Round 2 – Outside leg kick from Evans. Evans circling. Again, not much happening. Body kick from Evans. Alvey trying to walk Rashad down and lands a left. Alvey with a left, and another. Rashad with a punch to the chest. Evans in on a takedown and finally gets it. Alvey scoots away and gets right back up though. They stall out against the fence. They separate. Alvey with a short counter on a Rashad home run shot that missed. Takedown stuffed and Alvey lands a knee. Ugh. 10-9 Alvey I guess.

Round 3 – Referee John McCarthy warned both men for inactivity between rounds. As he should have. Evans with an inside leg kick. Alvey with a left. He scores again with a straight right. The crowd is booing. Rashad has a big right blocked. Hard left hook scores though. Alvey walking Evans down. They clinch up. Alvey with a couple of knees. Two short punches too. They break with three minutes to go. Evans with a straight right. Alvey with a left. Hard right from Evans, but the takedown attempt that followed went nowhere. Rashad goes to the body after circling for a while. Alvey with a two-punch combo. Evans lands a big right again. He misses with another winging one. Alvey still walking him down. He scoops a single but Alvey sluffs it off. Knees to the body in the clinch from Alvey. Again. Right from Evans and a left. Alvey with a right. 10-9 and 29-28 Evans, but who knows. That was the opposite of good.

Alejandro Perez vs. Andre Soukhamthath

Round 1 – Perez with the first strike, a straight right. Soukhamthath presses forward but eats a counter combo. Perez with some low kicks. Soukhamthath with a right hook. Soukhamthath lands a straight left as Perez was coming forward and dropped him! They trade outside leg kicks. Perez scoops a single but there’s nothing there. Soukhamthath lands hard. Perez with an inside leg kick. Another hard left from Soukhamthath. Another inside leg kick form Perez. The straight left dropped him again! Big right misses, Perez grabs the waist and looks for a takedown. Soukhamthath shakes him off and wags his finger. Two calf kicks from Perez. Counter left hook scores for Soukhamthath. 10-9 Soukhamthath.

Round 2 – Outside leg kick by Soukhamthath. Perez with a left. Perez with two jabs – one low, one high. Perez with two counter rights. He’s looknig good early. Soukhamthath missed with a flying knee. Head kick from Perez blocked. He does score with an inside leg kick. Soukhamthath scores with a left. AGAIN he drops him Perez with the jab! He even throws up three fingers to tell him! Soukhamthath with another left. Left hook to the body, and Soukhamthath points at it. Then clubs him with a left hook to the face! This is crazy. Outside low kick from Perez. Overhand right from Perez and he throws him to the floor. Perez jumped into his guard with 90 seconds to go. Perez with some body shots. Soukhamthath trying to lock him down. Perez moves him over to the fence, and Soukhamthath uses it to get up. Soukhamthath spins around to his back. Soukhamthath lands a left hook right after Perez lands a spinning back elbow. That was nice! I’ll go 10-9 Soukhamthath but that was close.

Round 3 – Inside leg kick from Perez. Combo from Soukhamthath just misses. Perez scoops a single and he’s in deep, but can’t get Soukhamthath to the floor. Perez pops him with with a left. They trade jabs. Perez scoops a single but again can’t get anything. Soukhamthath looks a bit tired. Huge step-in right hook from Soukhamthath. Spinning back fist from Perez blocked. Perez with a low leg kick. Perez with a jab. Nice right from Soukhamthath. Perez with a body lock. Down to a single. Double, and he finally dumps Soukhamthath to the mat. He’s in a sitting position against the cage. Soukhamthath is up with 1:15 to go. Perez lands a shot. They both miss with winging punches. Soukhamthath with a right. Inside leg kick from Perez. Perez has a takedown attempt stuffered. Perez with a left. Soukhamthath with a right. Perez with a leg kick. Perez dances away as Soukhamthath throws a crazy kick. 10-9 Perez, but I have it 29-28 Soukhamthath. Could go either way.

Jack Hermansson vs. Brad Scott

Round 1 – Hermansson jumping around on the outside. Not much striking so far. Just a lot of feinting. Body kick from Hermansson. Inside leg kick. Hermansson looked for a takedown, adjusted, and but Scott on his back against the cage. Scott briefly looks for a triangle but Hermansson shuts it down and moves to side. Then to mount. Scott rolled over. Hermanssson beating him up with full back mount. Scott rolls back to mount. Two huge elbows. Tons of punches. Another elbow. High mount and he’s dropping a ton of punches. Finally the referee stepped in. That was a beatdown.

Dustin Ortiz vs. Hector Sandoval

Round 1 – Ortiz lands a big right and Sandoval is stunned. He drops him with the next right! Three more and it’s over just like that. Fastest finish in flyweight history. Wow.

Henry Briones vs. Rani Yahya

Round 1 – Yahya with an inside leg kick. Yahya dives in on the legs. He settles for a body lock and gets a takedown. He works from side control immediately. He spins around looking for a north south choke. He fights it off and Yahya goes back to half guard. Now he’s looking for a kimura. He yanks on it and Briones taps.

Jose Quinonez vs. Diego Rivas

Round 1 – Quinonez has a head kick blocked. Quinonez taking the center with Rivas circling. Outside leg kick from Rivas. Quinonez with a right. Rivas with a high kick blocked. Quinonez with another right up the middle. Quinonez looks for a takedown. Couldn’t get it. Outside leg kick from Rivas. Head kick from Quinonez. Rivas with a combo and a hard body kick. Low kick form Quinonez. Shovel hook from Quinonez. 10-9 Quinonez.

Round 2 – Outside leg kick from Quinonez. Inside leg kick. He scores with a left coming in as well. Nice, fast right jab from Quinonez. Rivas lands a left counter after eating a right. Quinonez briefly drops him with a right. Quinonez digs to the body. Rivas with a hard right. Inside leg kick from Quinonez. Body kick from Rivas got caught and Quinonez tripped him to the mat. He jumped over into side control. He controls the rest of the round there. 10-9 Quinonez.

Round 3 – Hug to start the final stanza. They both whiff on multiple big punches. Quinonez dancing around him and landing glancing rights and straight lefts. Rivas isn’t throwing a ton, but landing a body shot here and there. Counter left from Rivas. Rivas tries to trip Quinonez but Quinonez ended up on top in a scramble. He lands a few shots there before Rivas gets up with 90 seconds left. Outside leg kick from Quinonez. Rivas coming up short with his hands. He did land a nice counter. Rivas whiffs on a late home run shot. 10-9 and easy 30-27 Quinonez.

Joseph Morales vs. Roberto Sanchez

Round 1 – Sanchez got a takedown . Morales looking for a choke from the bottom. Sanchez stacks him up against the cage. They’re jostling for position but canceling each other out. Morales uses a headlock to get up. A straight right from Morales drops Sanchez! A left! Sanchez back up but gets dropped again. Morales has his back and he’s looking for a choke. Body triangle. Sanchez fights off his hands. He’s trying again, and he finally secures it. Sanchez taps.

Alvaro Herrera vs. Jordan Rinaldi

Round 1 – Inside leg kick from Rinaldi. Outside leg kick too. Rinaldi with a lead right. Another outside leg kick. Herrera starting slow. Herrera finally caught him coming in on a takedown and looked for a choke. Rinaldi popped out. He looked for a choke of his own from the top, a Von Flue choke. And Herrera tapped! That was a huge mistake on Herrera’s part.
