
After two very close rounds that even had some pundits having Daniel Cormier ahead on points, Jon Jones landed a perfectly timed head kick which led to the finish and ended the rivalry between the two light heavyweight greats.

Round 3 – Jones is ripping Cormier up with the left hook to the body. Cormier misses with the right. More great body work from Jones and then a vicious knee to the body. Uppercut and left hook score for Cormier. A little bit of a lull in the action of a pulsating encounter. Another body punch by Jones. Cormier with a right to the body. Head kick wobbles Cormier! Jones with a leg kick and then he misses with the flying knee. He’s chasing Cormier down and Cormier is still all over the place and he falls down on his own! Monstrous ground-and-pound by Jones! These elbows are lethal! Cormier is taking a serious beating and Jones is just bashing him with lefts. It’s over! It’s over! Jon Jones is the champion again!

After putting the stamp on the rivalry, Jones decided to call out Brock Lesnar for a heavyweight super-fight.
