Join us today on Bloody Elbow for live results and detailed play-by-play as Bellator 181 returns to the WinStar Casino in Thackerville, OK. The headliner is a trilogy fight between Brandon Girtz and Derek Campos, with the men splitting their first two bouts. The co-main will see veteran Kendall Grove taking on John Salter.
The show will kick off with two hours of preliminary card fighting, which can be viewed at Spike.com or at the stream above. As usual, some of the preliminary fights will actually take place after the main card is over. That begins at 6:45pm ET/3:45pm PT. The show then moves to Spike TV at the regular starting time of 9pm ET/6pm PT for the four-fight main card (delayed on the west coast).
Mauro Ranallo will be handling the announcing duties with Jimmy Smith for the card.

Brandon Girtz vs. Derek Campos
Round 1 – Campos with an outside leg kick. They trade punches. Girtz with a hard step-in knee. They both land power shots again and Girtz staggers a bit. Campos walking his opponent down. Outside leg kick from Campos. Hard head kick from Girtz as Campos was leaning. Girtz with a lead right hook. Campos lands a right, Girtz with the counter. Girtz with a lead left. Girtz with the left again. Campos with two rights while Girtz swings wildly. Girtz with a huge body kick. Campos rips him with a right. Head kick from Campos. Girtz landed a big shot in return though. He lands another! Campos opens a huge cut between the eyes of Girtz with a knee! That was a crazy sequence. Girtz with a stinging body kick. Hard body punch too. Girtz has blood all over his face. Body kick from Girtz. Campos with an uppercut. 10-9 Girtz.
Round 2 – That cut is massive, but they’re letting him continue. Girtz throwing huge early. Campos with a right hook. Outside leg kick from Campos. Body kick from Girtz, and a lead left hook. Campos with a nice combo, Girtz fired back with a couple of counters. Body kick from Girtz. Girtz with combo and another body kick. They trade outside leg kicks. Huge counter right hook from Girtz wobbles Campos! Campos bombs a right hook and Girtz is staggered! WOW! They’re back in the center now. Girtz with a body kick and a knee. Campos wih a huge combo against the cage! It’s a hockey fight again with both guys just throwing recklessly. Referee John McCarthy checks he cut again with 90 seconds left, and he’s still good to go. Body kick from Girtz. Campos with a right. Girtz with a hard left hook. Campos with a flying knee that lands, but eats a right hook combo at the same time. Another jumping knee. Great round! 10-9 Girtz.
Oh man. They stopped it because of the cut now. That’s unfortunate. I had Girtz winning too.
Derek Campos defeated Brandon Girtz by TKO (doctor stoppage), 5:00 of round 2
Round 1 – Inside leg kick from Salter. Not much at all happening early. A few slapping kicks from each man. Salter with a glancing left. Grove isn’t doing anything. Inside leg kick from Salter. Grove finally moves forward with a right three minutes in. Jab from Salter. Grove with a combo. Outside leg kick from Grove. Salter shoots in and trips Grove to the mat. Salter to side. He jumps Grove’s back as he tries to get up. He’s looking for a choke. Grove went to sleep! Wow that was fast.

Jessica Middleton vs. Emily Ducote
Round 1 – Middleton presses and lands a couple of punches. Ducote looked for a takedown. They clinch up. Knee from Middleton. Ducote gets a takedown but Middleton looked for a guillotine. They moved back into the clinch. They battled there for an extended period. Ducoe finally uses a single to get Middleton to her butt. She’s back up though. Middleton with side elbows. She grabs the cage as Ducote takes her down to a seated position again. She finally put her back on the mat. The ref oddly stood them up quickly though. 10-9 Ducote.
Round 2 – Ducote with a left hook and she gets a takedown in the middle of the cage. She passed to side, then mount. Middleton swept her though. That was nice. After some top control, Ducote looked for an armbar from the bottom. She used it to reverse. It looked close, but Middleton stepped over and defended well. Now they’ve stalled out. Ducote looked for an omoplata. Middleton landed a couple of punches. 10-9 Ducote.
Round 3 – Immediate trip takedown from Ducote. She tried to move to mount quickly but settled for half guard. She gets to side, then mount. Middleton back to half, but not for long. Ducote takes her back from mount and is looking for a choke. She couldn’t get it. Middleton escapes, but immediately gets stuck in an armbar. She lasted to the horn though. 10-9 and 30-27 Ducote.
Emily Ducote defeated Jessica Middleton via unanimous decision (29-27, 29-28, 29-28)
Round 1 – Warren with an immediate takedown. He grinds away on top with punches. Garcia can’t lock him down and continues to eat a steady stream of Warren offense. Warren takes the back briefly. He settles back into top position and continues to work methodically. He spent the entire round there. Garcia didn’t do a thing. 10-9 Warren.
Round 2 – Warren scoops a single, adjusts to a body lock, and slams Garcia down. He’s back up but Warren worked from the back. Garcia separates. Warren with a trip takedown against the cage. Garcia is on his feet but Warren is just holding a bodylock from behind against the fence and landing a few knees. Warren tries to sink a hook but Garcia elbows his thigh. Warren takes him down but Garcia goes for a kimura. Warren isn’t in danger. The crowd is restless. 10-9 Warren.
Round 3 – Garcia tries to attack but Warren drags him all over the cage looking for a takedown. He gets it. He pinned Garcia to the mat and landed a few punches and elbows. Garcia trying to get something from the bottom, but there’s nothing there. The crowd is bored as Warren continues to stay busy on top. Dull. 10-9 and 30-27 Warren.
