Former Strikeforce and Invicta FC champion Cris Cyborg is known for keeping busy between fights, and today raised some eyebrows with a new video that surfaced on Twitter.

Justino was sparring with none other than 2012 Olympic gold medalist and current North American Boxing Federation middleweight champion Claressa Shields. And they’re not exactly going at half-speed, either:

The video doesn’t show either fighter going at their hardest, but they did land some pretty good shots. Shields even claims Cyborg gave her some advice after their sparring session:

Shields became the first woman to win Olympic gold in boxing, the first year women’s boxing was an event at the games. She recently defeated Szilvia Szabados in her hometown of Detroit, MI at the MGM Grand in the first women’s boxing match to main event a card on Showtime. Earlier this month, she defeated Sydney LeBlanc for the WBC Super Middleweight title as well. Her amateur record was 78-1, and she’s currently 3-0 as a professional.

Shields isn’t just be a fan of Cyborg’s, she also showed her support for fellow Michigander and Detroit native Kevin Lee, following his win this past Sunday against Michael Chiesa. Here she is celebrating Lee’s post-fight bonus:

As for Cyborg, her next bout is expected to be at UFC 214 in Anaheim against current fellow Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson on July 29th . That fight will be for the newly-vacated UFC women’s featherweight title.

Update: A fan retweeted this post to Shields, who noted that one of her previous tweets was regarding Shields giving Justino advice. Looks like they both had tips to share with each other.
