Chael Sonnen got his first win in almost four years at Bellator 180 last night, beating MMA legend Wanderlei Silva via unanimous decision.

During the bout, Tito Ortiz, who submitted Sonnen earlier this year and was ringside for last night’s pay-per-view at Madison Square Garden, was heckling ‘The American Gangster’ and shouting profanities at him in the main event.

That didn’t go down too well with Sonnen, who called ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ a ‘scumbag’ and a ‘drug addict’ in a post-fight interview with MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.

“He gives me the bird, he’s flipping me off,” Sonnen said of Ortiz’s behavior on Saturday night. “And then he starts yelling — profanity for one, which is a little low brow to use profanity in any environment. He’s yelling profanity at me: ‘you’re gonna get your ass kicked’. ‘Tito, right now?! I’m in the ring, man. I’ve known you twenty years.'”

“‘Tito, I’m a rough guy, man. I will come over there and whip your ass in that little fake suit you got.’ I mean, he’s probably drunk and on drugs. The guy’s a drug addict. He’s a total scumbag. I’d whip his ass any time he wants to do it.”

After putting Ortiz in his place, Sonnen then directed his attention to former UFC welterweight title challenger and Bellator newcomer Rory MacDonald, who beat Paul Daley earlier this year at Bellator London.

Sonnen, who fights at light heavyweight and middleweight, said there’s a ‘story’ behind his beef with ‘The Red King’.

“Rory MacDonald and I are gonna cross paths eventually,” he said. “Weird, call out a guy that’s at 170-pounds. There’s a story behind it. I’ll come on your show and share the story with you. Rory knows what happened. We have to fight; I have no choice. I have no problem with Rory and won’t pretend I will. Rory and I are going to fight, and he knows it.”

MacDonald, 27, is expected to take on Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima, who defended his title via unanimous decision last night against former UFC contender Lorenz Larkin.

Sonnen, a former three-time UFC title challenger, also called out Russian heavyweight sensation Fedor Emelianenko in the post-fight interview. Emelianenko, 40, lost via first-round knockout to Matt Mitrione in last night’s co-main event.
