Shortly after the boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather was made official, quite a number of UFC stars have campaigned to be in similar cross-over match ups on the undercard. Even boxing star Adrian Broner has asked for a bout against Nate Diaz.

Dana White has earlier stated that those bouts are unlikely to happen, as the UFC isn’t handling the matchmaking for the card. Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions has since confirmed this, and said that there won’t be any other MMA vs Boxing matches involved.

“Yes, we are (handling all the matchmaking), and we are going to have a phenomenal undercard. I can guarantee you that,” Ellerbe said at the MMA Hour.

“This will be 100% pure boxers in the show.”

Ellerbe declined to elaborate on who specifically will be involved in the undercard, saying that “these things take time”, and they will be announcing it on a later date.

It may be safe to assume though, that with such a huge event drawing a different type of audience, they’d want to give exposure to most (or all) of the top stars they’re building on their stable such as Gervonta Davis, Badou Jack, and J’Leon Love.
