One of the most talked-about incidents from the UFC’s fighter retreat over the weekend was the scuffle between Cristine ‘Cyborg’ Justino and Angela Magana. Cyborg was upset with the much smaller Magana over a series of insulting comments she had made in the past and confronted the strawweight at the retreat, landing a punch in the process. She was eventually cited for battery over the incident.

At the The Ultimate Fighter 26 tryouts today, the media briefly got with White to talk about the new women’s division in the promotion and he was asked about the altercation at the end:

“Obviously, we’re looking more into that and it’s very serious. We’ll see what happens. This is the thing that the district attorney and the police are handling right now. There’s way more to that than just what am I thinking about it.”

Cyborg has also issued her own statement, questioning the culture of the company for letting Magana get away with the things she has said about her.
