For those wondering if Cris Cyborg would have to face any repercussions from her altercation with Angela Magana at the UFC fighters’ retreat this past weekend, the answer appears to be ‘yes’.

Multiple sources indicate that, during the UFC’s event in Las Vegas over the May 20-21 weekend, Cris Cyborg struck Angela Magana during an argument. Video shows the two women in a face-to-face confrontation and the sound of a strike landing can be heard, although the strike itself didn’t end up caught on film.

After the incident, Magana took to Twitter to proclaim that she had filed charges against Cyborg after speaking with police and that the “Criminal is getting arrested soon.”

Now, TMZ is reporting that officers have “made contact with Cyborg,” who was apparently unwilling to comment on Magana’s accusations. TMZ also reports that Cyborg was “cited for battery and will have to appear in court,” and that police were able to view surveillance footage of the altercation.

Magana, it seems, was taken to the hospital and treated for a laceration on the inside of her lip as well as being diagnosed with “acute head injury” and “cervical strain.” Bloody Elbow will continue to provide updates on this story as it unfolds.
