The UFC just wrapped its “UFC Summer Kickoff” press conference a few minutes ago, and boy oh boy, it was a doozy. Amid insults, trash-talking, mean-mugging and middle-finger throwing, an actual fight broke out between two lightweights in attendance.

Michael Chiesa and Kevin Lee were engaged in some banter when things took an ugly turn when the word “momma” escaped Lee’s lips.

“He’s gonna headline because of me,” Lee said. “After that, he’s going back to the prelims. But I just hope he shows up, because I know his momma’s got tickets.”

Chiesa went absolutely nuclear in his response: “Don’t you ever talk about my f*cking mom. … I’m gonna smack the f*ck out of your right now, don’t you ever talk about my mom.” (H/T to MMAFighting.com for the transcribed quotes)

During the attempts to keep Chiesa contained, Lee managed to jump right over the security guy with an overhand right that appeared to land on the mulleted Washingtonian.

Both men were escorted out of the conference area, and Lee immediately took to Twitter to hash out the event in his own words:
