It has been a few months since we last saw the World Series of Fighting as they return this Saturday for WSOF 35: Ivanov vs. Jordan. There will be three WSOF titles on the line, with the marquee matchup seeing the heavyweight champion Blagoy Ivanov defend his belt against UFC veteran Shawn Jordan. The co-main event on the evening will see Lance Palmer looking to defend his featherweight crown against the undefeated Andre Harrison. Following the departure of Marlon Moraes, the vacant WSOF bantamweight belt will be awarded to the winner of Bekbulat Magomedov vs. Donavan Frelow.

WSOF 35 can be seen this Saturday night, with the main card airing live on NBCSN at 11:00 P.M. ET, and with the Prelims streaming online at 8:00 P.M. ET.

Blagoy Ivanov (14-1 MMA; 3-0 WSOF) vs. Shawn Jordan (19-7 MMA; 1-0 WSOF): Heavyweight Title

The WSOF heavyweight champion Blagoy Ivanov is looking for his third straight title defense since winning the belt in 2015. Ivanov comes from a Sambo background, but is more than willing to throw his hands, as we saw in his five-round slobberknocker with Josh Copeland at WSOF 31 back in June of 2016. Look for Ivanov to try and counter the big shots from Shawn Jordan early on in the fight, and take the big man where he has never been, the championship rounds.

Shawn Jordan is looking to re-establish himself as a top heavyweight, as he looks to dethrone the only once-beaten Ivanov. With notable wins over talent like Pat Barry, Jared Cannonier, and Derrick Lewis, look for Jordan to lean on his raw explosiveness to leap in with powerful strikes to try and take out the current WSOF champ. Over the course of his 26-fight career, Jordan has yet to see a round 4. Will this be the time that the big man will see a 16th MMA minute, and if so, how will his cardio hold up?

Lance Palmer (11-2 MMA; 4-2 WSOF) vs. Andre Harrison (15-0 MMA; 1-0 WSOF): Featherweight Title

Lance “The Party” Palmer is looking to defend his featherweight crown after having to recapture his throne at WSOF 32 from Alexandre de Almeida, who took the title from him at WSOF 26. The 4x Ohio State All American and Team Alpha Male product will be locking horns with another wrestler in the form of Andre “The Bull” Harrison. Will Palmer look to grapple with Harrison, or will he choose to keep his distance, until he finds an opportunity to leap in and pepper his opponent?

Andre Harrison has amassed a flawless record thus far in his professional MMA career. Harrison possesses a defensively sound stance, and is capable of unleashing big time hooks, even if his volume is on the lower end. The bread and butter for Harrison has been his ability to blast a double leg at any given moment to secure a takedown and top position. If the takedown does not materialize against Palmer, will Harrison be able to adjust and find a way to get it done on the feet?

Bekbulat Magomedov (17-1 MMA; 1-1 WSOF) vs. Donavan Frelow (6-1 MMA; 2-1 WSOF): Bantamweight Title

Bekbulat Magomedov is a 17-1 Russian that was originally scheduled to face fellow Russian Timur Valiev, before Valiev withdrew due to injury. Magomedov has shown a remarkable ability to remain composed in a scramble, and holds a bit of an experience advantage against his 6-1 opponent. Is Magomedov ready to fill the bantamweight shoes of Moraes?

Donavan Frelow was last seen inside the WSOF cage in a losing effort to Magomed Bibulatov for the vacant flyweight title. Following his decision loss, Frelow picked up a split decision win in Gladiator Challenge, and is now stepping up a weight class, to challenge for the vacant bantamweight belt. No matter what, and new!

Abubakar Nurmagomedov (13-1 MMA; 4-0 WSOF) vs. Matt Secor (8-3 MMA; 2-0 WSOF): Welterweight

Abubakar Nurmagomedov, kin to #1 UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov, will be taking on fellow grappler Matt Secor. Look for Secor to want to put Nurmagomedov on his back, but find it to be somewhat of a tall order. Abubakar has shown vast improvements in his striking, and although defensive lapses are prevalent, expect the Russian to be liberal with his punch count on his way to finding top position.
