Glory 39 Brussels and Glory 40 Copenhagen fight cards

This past Friday saw Glory back in Chicago for a successful Glory 38 event highlighted by Artem Vakhitov’s KO title defense against Saulo Cavalari. Now, Glory is looking ahead to their next two shows.

Up first will be Glory 39 Brussels scheduled for March 25. The main event is the first Welterweight title defense for recently crowned champion Cedric Doumbe. He takes on Yoann Kongolo, who holds a pair of wins over the champion in 2014 and 2015. That should make for a very interesting fight and a tough title defense. The card also includes a Feratherweight tournament, and an excellent Heavyweight fight pitting Guto Inocente against Jamal Ben Saddik.

The Fight Pass card from Brussels is a serious can’t miss card with Sittichai defending his Lightweight title against Dylan Salvador, Marat Grigorian vs. Hysni Beqiri, Hesdy Gerges vs. Chi Lewis-Parry… it’s a terrific Superfight Series all around.

Following that will be Glory 40 Copenhagen on April 29. Headlining there is the third meeting between Middleweight champion Jason Wilnis and the man he won the belt from, Simon Marcus. They are 1-1 right now – this settles the score. There’s also a Middleweight tournament, and a handful of fights announced for the Superfight Series, including a Lightweight Title fight. Nothing official on that fight yet, but based on Glory 38 presumably it will be Vakhitov taking on either Zinedine Hameur-Lain (who won a tournament at Glory 32 and has never received his shot, but has lost twice in Glory since) or Ariel Machado, who won the Glory 38 tournament, defeating Hameur-Lain in the finals.
